Painting 8/30: "Another Broken Egg"

"Another Broken Egg"
6"x6"
Oil on Board
$175

For the 8th painting in the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge, I decided to paint another broken egg.  Painting these is just a great exercise for me because of all the shades of white, the differences in color temperature and the reflections from the yolk and egg white.  The little tiny edges of light on the shell where the egg is cracked also present a challenge.  Overall, a lot of fun and very interesting to paint!

(I have to add that if you have not eaten at "Another Broken Egg Cafe" then do so!  I've only been to the Destin, Florida locations, but, boy, they do it right!  One of the best breakfasts on the beach!)
