Picking up where I left off....Painting 26/30

"J"

Near the end of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days series, on Sunday, January 25, I received a call from one of the nursing home nurses who took care of my father.  She let me know that he was not doing well at all and we needed to make our journey to his side.  He was in a Veterans Home about 3 hours away.  On Tuesday, January 27, Daddy passed away.  As one of my friends eloquently put it, I had the "painful privilege" of being there with him and holding his hand as he went into eternity. So it has been a difficult week for us, but at the same time we are relieved that Alzheimer's Disease no longer has a hold on him.

Oddly enough, I was in the middle of this series featuring one of his favorites....peanut butter & jelly.  So I am picking up where I left off and remembering my sweet Daddy.

Thank you, as always, for reading and looking.

I'm very sorry for your loss. My mother also died of alzheimer's and it is a very difficult thing for all to go through. I admire for you continuing the challenge. Love the peanut butter and jelly series.
